George H. Matangos

George Matangos practices in the area of criminal defense.

Prior to joining Costopoulos, Foster & Fields in 2000, George worked in the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office. He was Dauphin County's first full-time Juvenile Prosecutor, handling hundreds of cases in his first three years. George eventually became Senior Deputy District Attorney in charge of the Juvenile Prosecution Unit.

He has prosecuted and defended all types of cases, from those involving misdemeanor crimes such as DUI, retail theft, drug possession to felony crimes including robbery, burglary and felony drug cases. He has also defended more than a dozen clients charged with homicide.

George has practiced before the Federal Courts, both in the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. George has tremendous compassion for clients and their families. Communication is the key to helping clients reach their goals. Through dogged determination, George can assure that each client receives the absolute best defense possible.
